Matt Phillips
Chief Executive Officer
Matthew J. Phillips serves as CEO of SinglePipe Communications following fifteen
years of telecommunications experience, including a brief tenure with SinglePipe
as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to SinglePipe, Mr. Phillips served as Regional
Vice President for the Midwest Region for Level 3 and was a founding employee of
two start-up telecommunications ventures. Mr. Phillips also served as Vice President
of Engineering and Construction for ACSI Technologies and Senior Vice President
of Engineering and Operations for Global Metro Networks. He is a graduate of the
United States Military Academy and holds a MBA from Xavier University.
Scott Edelen
Chief Financial Officer
Scott Edelen has over seventeen years experience in corporate accounting and finance that he brings to SinglePipe Communications as Chief Financial Officer. Scott spent the last nine years of his career in the CLEC and Wireless industries. He most recently served as a Business Financial Manager at Level 3 Communications in Louisville, Kentucky and was previously with Powertel PCS Wireless as a Finance Director, also in Louisville. Scott began his career as the Corporate Controller for Royal Oak Charcoal, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia and is a 1989 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Jeff Carr
Chief Operating Officer
Jeff Carr brings fourteen years of technology and business experience in various roles as entrepreneur, operator and consultant. Mr. Carr was one of the key leaders of Zoomtown, a subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell Inc. He served as Chief Operations Officer, running the day-to-day business of this high-speed internet and data services company. Most recently, he was a Partner in Accenture's Global Technology Consulting practice.
Mark Hayes
Senior Vice President of CLEC Operations
Mark Hayes has over twenty years of ILEC/CLEC operations experience that he brings to SinglePipe Communications. He was founder, co-owner and President of CLEC services for WISPNET LLC and ALEC, Inc. ALEC was a wholesale CLEC and ISP providing voice, data, DSL, long distance and special access throughout a nine state area. Prior to ALEC/WISPNET, Mark was Director of CLEC operations for DURO Communications based in Orlando, Florida. Before his role at DURO Communications, Mark was Operations Manager for Xspedius Networks and ACSI Inc. where he has designed, developed and maintained CLEC networks. In addition, Mark has held technical positions with independent telephone companies and Siemens, Inc.
Jerry Jeffers
Senior Vice President Carrier/ Wholesale Sales
Jerry Jeffers has twenty-five years of telecommunications experience in sales, technical
support and business development that he brings to SinglePipe Communications. He
has held Senior Vice President/ Vice President level-Sales Management positions
with Sprint, Broadwing, PointOne, Champion and Conterra Ultra Broadband. Most recently,
Jerry was managing wholesale/resale national and international sales organizations.
Previously, Jerry led sales and support teams in the Fortune 100-500 enterprise
space. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business
Administration in Finance.
Kevin Breault
Vice President of Business Development
Kevin Breault has over ten years of communications experience in sales, marketing and business development he brings to SinglePipe Communications. Prior to SinglePipe, Kevin was in charge of business development and operations for Kancharla Corporation, a leading wholesale VoIP service provider. Kevin joined Kancharla in 1995 where he held key positions in guiding Kancharla in each aspect of growth from VAR, Interconnect, retail VoIP and finally wholesale VoIP. During his fourteen plus years in the information technology industry Kevin has defined and executed successful sales and marketing strategies that have consistently yielded strong revenue growth at the retail and wholesale levels.
