GLDS and SinglePipe Provide Integrated Billing/Provisioning of Phone Services; First Live Launch at CMA in Dallas

(NEW ORLEANS, LA) — May 19, 2008 - SinglePipe Communications (SinglePipe) and Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS) today announced integration of flow-through billing and provisioning for commercial and residential VoIP services. SinglePipe is one of the first telephony services providers to integrate with GLDS’s Service Provisioning Gateway for Voice (SPG) interfaces. The new integrated solution has been successfully deployed for CMA Communications in Dallas.

Integration with the GLDS gateway (SPG) allows operators to control SinglePipe Digital Voice services directly from GLDS’s WinCable® billing system. The integration eliminates the need for multiple disparate systems, and allows operators to manage SinglePipe delivered services without additional mediation or provisioning layers. Direct provisioning from the billing system will allow CMA to manage triple-play service delivery more efficiently, minimize revenue loss, and ensure a higher level of customer satisfaction.

The GLDS WinVoIP module enables the import, management and aggregation of pre-rated, pre-taxed call detail records for consolidated multi-service billing. As a certified, facilities-based Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC), SinglePipe originates, terminates and manages each phone call over its own network, then transmits a rated call detail records to GLDS WinCable® billing system. WinCable then aggregates that data (with video and data billing information) into a single, consolidated triple-play bill.

“SinglePipe was easy to work with, and the integration process has gone very smoothly," said GLDS VP of Operations, Garrick Russell. "Provisioning and billing from the same system just makes sense. The resulting solution will mean lower labor costs, faster service activation, and fewer mistakes. That translates into happier customers, and better revenue assurance,” Russell added. “The days of swivel-chair order entry are over."

SinglePipe’s complete, feature-rich Digital Voice Solutions include a range of packages for residential customers, as well as for small to medium-sized businesses. All SinglePipe Digital Voice offerings include all of the advanced calling and phone control features customers want, as well as regulatory compliance, FCC-compliant 911, local number portability, complete back office integration, and Tier 2/3 support.

"We pride ourselves on delivering truly complete and easy-to-implement Digital Voice solutions to our clients” said SinglePipe COO Jeff Carr. “Providing an integrated billing and provisioning platform through our partnership with GLDS is a key component of our overall value proposition. We’ll be able to deliver faster, more seamless service launches for our cable operator clients, more efficient ongoing Digital Voice service delivery, and more satisfying experiences for end-users."
